Serials Cancellation Procedures
So that none of us cancels something that is an important resource for an area other than our own, we ask that before you cancel a serial (either print or electronic) you take the following steps:
1. Post a notice to lib-select and lib-reftalk (if you list both addresses in the To: line subscribers to both lists will get only one notice) to the effect that you are considering the item for cancellation. Ask that anyone who sees a reason the title should not be cancelled to reply to you within two weeks.
2. If objections to cancellation are received, either negotiate with another selector to take over funding of the title if its use is primarily in another discipline or recommed to Collections Group that the title be funded centrally.
3. If no objections are received, proceed to cancel
by sending e-mail to

giving specific cancellation instructions or by
submitting the web form below.
