  • February 7-11 NW Flower & Garden Show, Seattle, Washington
  • Spring: The Scottish Chapter Garden Visits (tour) will be based in South West Scotland over a long weekend. The Chapter expects to include Monreith, which is not open to the public, in their 2001 Spring Gardens Visits Programme. There are many Rhododendrons in the collection of paintings held at Monreith and also in the gardens themselves. In 1997, the Scottish Chapter staged the Premier Showing of original botanical paintings by Sir Herbert Maxwell, noted artist, naturalist and writer, of Monreith House.
