Reference Services
Research Tutorials
The Charles L. Brown Science and Engineering Library and its satellites provide, as a service to UVA science and engineering faculty and students, advice and assistance in locating information in the libraries and also, in the form of Research Tutorials, individual instruction in the use of online databases and other library resources. Use this online Tutorial Request Form for placing your tutorial request. (You may also telephone 924-3628 to schedule your tutorial, if you prefer.) Your online request will be forwarded to the library staff member most familiar with your area of interest. He or she will be in touch with you as soon as possible to arrange a time for your consultation. If your research involves a humanities or social sciences area, you may wish to contact the Reference and Information Services department in Alderman Library or telephone 924-3021 for assistance with non-science and engineering questions.
