Study space
Clemons Library maintains the longest hours
of any library on Grounds, making it the ideal place to study. Clemons has several
lounge areas and dozens of tables and carrels with seating for 1700 patrons on
the 1st, 2nd and 4th floors.
Small group study rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors may be used for two hour periods
by checking out a key from the 4th floor Information Desk. These rooms are available
on a first-come, first-served basis.
The 1st floor is a designated Quiet Study Area.
Office equipment
There are 2 pay-for-print stations and 2 copiers located on the 4th floor.
A typewriter is available near the copiers.
Other basic equipment that can be found near the copiers on the 4th floor:
- Stapler
- Paper cutter
- Hole punch
The nearest fax machines are provided by Printing and Copying Services in the UVA Bookstore and on Alderman's 1st floor. Newcomb Hall's Information Desk also has a fax machine.
Accessibility Resources
Clemons Library is fully accessible. Much of the University's equipment for patrons with visual impairments is housed here. Parking is available on McCormick Road or in the Central Grounds Parking Garage. The library staff will help students locate and select materials for research.
If you'll need help for less than 30 minutes, just ask a staff member when you arrive. If you'll need help for more than 30 minutes, please call the Information Desk (924-3684) to arrange an appointment.

Other services
Restrooms
2 handicapped-accessible restrooms are located on the 4th floor. They are open to all patrons. Additional restrooms can be found on each floor near the elevators.
Phones
One courtesy phone is located on the 4th floor near the restrooms. Additional phones can be found on the 2nd and 3rd floors near the elevators.
Vending Machines
Soft drink, coffee, and snack vending machines are located at the west end of the 4th floor. Additional machines are located outside the elevator on the 2nd floor. There are water fountains on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors near the restrooms, and near the ITC Computer Lab on the 4th floor.
