Install It
The Library Toolbar currently works only with Firefox 1.5 or higher and not with Internet Explorer, Safari, or other browsers. Click here to install the Toolbar, then restart Firefox.
If Firefox displays a message "To protect your computer, Firefox prevented this site... from installing software on your computer," press the button labelled "Edit Options..." and click "Allow" to add libx.org to the extension list. Then click "Ok" and go back to the "Install" link.
Use It

Right-click Menu - Highlight text on the Web page and right-click to get search options in the menu. You can also drag and drop the highlighted text into the search box or onto the Scholar button.
Cues - In Amazon, the New York Times Book Review, Google and other Web sites click on the orange Rotunda
to see if the UVa Libraries have the item. Customize It
Click the down arrow next to LibX UVa and choose LibX Preferences. You can set the tab or window for displaying search results and the options that appear in the right-click menu.
Hide It
If you like the toolbar, but think it takes up too much space, you can hide it. You can still use the Magic Button and the Right-Click Menu for searching and easily bring the toolbar back when you need to enter a search term. You can toggle the toolbar on and off in any of three ways:
