African American Song   

Audio recordings documenting the history of African American song, including jazz, blues, gospel, ragtime, folk songs, and narratives with many previously unreleased field recordings. When completed the collection will include ca. 50,000 recordings, mostly from the US but also from Haiti and the West Indies.

Over 50,000 recordings of classical music available for listening. Search or browse for works by composer, performer, instrument, period, etc.

Database of Recorded American Music: DRAM   

Recordings of music by American composers and artists. Most of the recordings are US art music from the 20th century, but there are also collections of jazz, folk, and popular music covering particular genres and periods.

Naxos Music Library

Large collection of recordings of classical and world music from the Naxos and Marco Polo labels. Descriptive information is available for most recordings. NOTE: 1) Please logout at the end of your session. 2) Bookmarks will not work unless "default.asp" is removed from the end of the URL.

Smithsonian Global Sound   

Includes the published recordings of the Smithsonian Folkways Recordings label, the archival audio collections of Folkways Records, Cook, Dyer-Bennet, Fast Folk, Monitor, Paredon and other labels, and several special ethnomusicological collections of world music.
