Charlottesville is served by the Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport with flights available from Delta Connection, United Express (Atlantic Coast Airlines), and US Airways Express (Piedmont Airlines). Airport shuttle service is available from Van on the Go, and taxis are available for approximately $20-25 one way.

Charlottesville is also served by Amtrak for those preferring to travel by train. The train station is located at 810 West Main Street, approximately 2 miles from the University.
