Summary Recommendations
- Create 5 model Information
Communities in the following areas: American Studies, Poetry, Architecture,
Modeling Virginia, Poetry, Tibet (sustain, not create).
- Create Community Coordinator
for each community.
- Create Advisory/editorial
board for each community.
- Create Library-wide Information
Communities Coordinator.
- Provide Technical support:
- Pool of technical
experts drawn from new FTEs as well as existing Centers expertise.
- Centralized Library
Production Center.
- Decrease amount of
production done in Centers and increase the amount of specialized technical
consulting done there.
- Provide K-12 unit for
each Information Community.
- Create Marketing Plan
for users and staff.
