Fedora requires the existence of a minimal Dublin Core record in order to take advantage of its built-in default search mechanisms. Dublin Core records will be generated from the UVa DescMeta record. Dublin Core records, and this UVa DescMeta mapping, are also then available for OAI harvesting.
