New Horizons in Teaching and Research 2008 Conference May 19 - 22
The conference will kick off with an afternoon of open house events at seven UVA labs and centers. Staff at each location will be on hand to describe their work, demonstrate services, and answer your questions:
- the Scholars' Lab in Alderman Library (4th floor West)
- the Research Computing Lab in Brown Science and Engineering Library
- the Digital Media Lab in Clemons Library (3rd floor)
- ASCIT, the Arts & Sciences Center for Instructional Technology (Cabell 219)
- IATH, the Institute for Advanced Technology in the Humanities (3rd floor Alderman)
- VCDH, the Virginia Center for Digital History (3rd floor Alderman)
- UVA Library Digitization Services (Harrison Institute/Small Special Collections Library)
Just drop in to any of these labs and centers on Monday, May 19th to pick up a New Horizons program and a map to the other open house locations. Open houses will run from one o'clock until 3:30pm. The opening plenary lecture by Dan Cohen will commence in the Harrison/Small auditorium at 4 o'clock.
