    The best guide to consult for reel numbers listed by title and dates is the gray looseleaf binder labeled N-GB-9, located in the Microforms Guides area on the side facing the reader/printers.

    Lacking specific reel by date information, still useful, with publisher information included is the online guide from Primary Source Microfilm. To search this guide, follow these steps: From the Collection Title drop-down menu select Early English Newspapers. In the Full Text box enter a keyword or subject term. Or, select one of the additional search options. Scroll down to bottom of page and click Search.

    From the Library of Virginia, an index to nearly 15,000 reports that survey and describe documents relating to colonial Virginia history that are housed in repositories in Great Britain and other European countries. The survey report images are available online, and there are references to microfilm reels for the original documents.
