Traveling Exhibit:
Jackson Davis and the Lost World of Jim Crow Education
At the close of the grant, the project staff selected 42 photographs and explanatory text to complement the essay Jackson Davis and the Lost World of Jim Crow Education by William A. Link. The images and essay were published in a catalog and the images were prepared for exhibition.
The exhibition debuted at a champagne reception in the Stettinius Gallery at the University of Virginia Library on October 27, 2000. Since December 2000 the exhibition has been on travelling to schools and historical societies in Virginia.
