June 13, 1919

President Alderman describes to his friend, W.W. Fuller, the unveiling ceremonies to dedicate the statue to the memory of James McConnell. Alderman also descibes, in length, the behind-the-scenes vexations involved in setting up the statue. He mentions that Judge McConnell, James' father, was at the ceremony, but the President did not have occasion to meet him.
