  • Chinese Character Geneaology : A Web-Based Etymological Dictionary for Learning Chinese Characters.
  • GuoYu CiDian 1998 edition. A Chinese-Chinese Dictionary edited by the Ministry of Education, Taiwan. In addition to the main dictionary, two very useful supplements are included on-line for looking up synonyms, antonyms, use of punctuations, etc.
  • Chinese Characters Dictionary WEB The major Chinese character dictionaries on the web are interlinking at a character-to-character level, allowing visitors to quickly jump across dictionaries to check the same character entry without having to search again for the character.
  • English-Chinese dictionary
  • Chinese Computer Terminology Dictionary from the Hong Kong Computer Society to publicize and promote the official set of computer terms in Chinese published by the Standard Terminology Assessment Committee of China. Including audio sound.
  • Buddism Fo Guang Da Ci Dian.

  • Chinese Serials Database : A co-operative project between the Australian National University Library and the National Library of China. The Database provides romanized versions and English translations of the tables of contents of some 100 serial titles from China. Original titles and table of contents in Chinese are also presented.
  • CNKI China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) a comprehensive database provides indexes to academic journals, major newspapes, disserations in all disciplines from the PRC , 1994 - . While non-subscriber can search for citations , on-line full-text available only to subscribers or users with purchased card.
  • READncl : In Chinese and English. This is a valuable service to remote users, Chinese studies in particular. Searchable indices to 2000+ titles of Chinese and Western language periodicals and journals published in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. Also includes TOC, some full-text. A long-distance document delivery provided by the National Central Library , Taiwan.
  • Chinalaw A useful commercial site includes information on new regulations, backfiles of Renmin Fayuan Bao, etc. all searchable.
  • PRC Government Online A starting point to find current government news and regulations from branches of PRC and provinces.
  • China Statistical Information Network: From the PRC government's Statistical Bureau, current data available.
  • China Statistical Data a monthly chinese macro-economy statistics data base
  • Gender Studies of East Asia
  • Chinese Movies Database : This site covers Chinese movies made in PRChina,Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other countries/regions. Periods cover from 1905 to current. Has both Chinese and English version. Searchable.
