This database provides citations and abstracts for education-related journal and magazine articles. It also provides full text access to "unpublished" items such as conference papers, technical reports, some doctoral dissertations, monographs, government reports, etc. from 1993- present. The ERIC database supplies only the citations for the "unpublished" items from 1966-1992, however, the full text is available on microfiche in the ERIC Microfiche collection in the UVA Education Library. Three organizations, CSA, EBSCO, and the U.S. Government provide access to the ERIC database. They may update their respective versions of the database at different times, but otherwise the content is the same. However, the U.S. Government version of the ERIC database (http://eric.ed.gov/) does not include Find@UVa links leading to full text access to journal articles.
