(EBSCO) 1966-present This database provides citations and abstracts for education-related journal and magazine articles. It also provides full text access to "unpublished" items such as conference papers, technical reports, some doctoral dissertations, monographs, government reports, and more from 1993- present. Citations only are provided for the "unpublished" items from 1966-1992, however, the full text is available in the ERIC microfiche collection in the UVA Education Library. Two companies, CSA and EBSCO provide access to this database. The 2 companies may update their respective versions of the database at different times, but otherwise the content is the same. The U.S. Government also provides a version of ERIC, however, it does not provide full text access to journal articles.
A search in this database will retrieve short fulltext articles providing an overview of the topic.
Subject coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management, search engines, printed and electronic information sources, the information industry, scholarly communication, and electronic publishing. LISTA indexes journal articles from more than 600 publications plus books, research reports, and conference proceedings.

Frequent updates make it a good source for very recent information.
